What is BitRansomware

BitRansomware is known as a file-encrypting virus meant to block user’s data and keep it under lock until a ransom is paid. Such malware earns a lot of money on inexperienced users who have been given no choice but to pay a fee because their data is encrypted with unbreakable ciphers. Imagine all of your personal data becomes inaccessible – this is what BitRansomware does. It assigns the new .readme extension at the end of each file to highlight them from the original ones. A sample of encrypted data looks like this 1.mp4.readme. After this process, extortionists will display a text note called Read_Me.txt explaining the decryption process.

Attention!
All your files, documents, photos, databases and other important files are encrypted
The only method of recovering files is to purchase an unique decryptor. Only we can give you this decryptor and only we can recover your files.
The server with your decryptor is in a closed network TOR. You can get there by the following ways:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Download Tor browser - https://www.torproject.org/
2. Install Tor browser
3. Open Tor Browser
4. Open link in TOR browser: http://54fjmcwsszltlixn.onion/?QRTVWYAB
5. Follow the instructions on this page
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On our page you will see instructions on payment and get the opportunity to decrypt 1 file for free.

It is said that all important files have been successfully encrypted and the only possible way to implement full decryption is to pay a fee through a Tor link attached in the note. Usually, this is the truth, because files can be decrypted only if ransomware contains some flaws or bugs overlooked by developers. Whatever the case, we do not recommend paying a ransom, because trusting extortionists is a quite tricky thing. Instead, we would advise you to delete BitRansomware and try the underneath tools to decrypt enciphered files.

How BitRansomware infected your computer

A plethora of things could let BitRansomware walk into your system. However, the most frequent attacks are usually related to e-mail spam, unprotected RDP configuration, backdoors, keyloggers, trojans, fake software updates, and others. What should be known about e-mail spam is that swindlers send a bunch of scripted messages with malicious attachments. They make a nicely-built cover to make users trust in its legitimacy. In fact, it is nothing but a trick to force people into opening the attached content (links, MS Office documents, PDFs, executables, JavaScript files) to cause penetration of malware. This is why it is very important to restrict yourself from opening suspicious content when browsing the web. There are some useful tools that will help you establish protection during Internet usage. You can find all of them posted down below.
