What is WikiBuy

WikiBuy is a completely legitimate extension designed for Chrome browsers and meant to take online shopping to a new level. It analyses products from different platforms (Amazon, Walmart, eBay, etc.) showing the best deals for the customers. It is officially registered as one of the best tools to save time on searching for multiple offers. You can download it from the official store, however, some frauds use its legitimacy to promote Potentially Unwanted Programs or other malware. Moreover, cybercriminals can use its capabilities to gather personal data and sell it to shady figures. This means that if WikiBuy appeared enabled in your browser without consent, more likely you have been attacked by unwanted software. If so, we recommend you to go through our guideline below to learn removal instructions.

How WikiBuy infected your computer

As we mentioned above, WikiBuy pursues no fraudulent means and can be downloaded from the official website for free. Unfortunately, extortionists may use it as a cover for shady affairs. To do this, they bait users into downloading cracked or pirated software that contains additional offers. If missed, you will be punished in the form of a malicious program exploiting your system. Remember to uncheck the content of “Advanced/Custom” or similar sections to evade the installation of unwanted apps. Actually, there are removal instructions provided directly from WikiBuy developers. But this only works if you installed it on your own, without the interference of subservient programs. Even if you feel satisfied with WikiBuy, it necessary to get rid of suspicious programs and extensions itself, and then install it back again without anything extra.
